Library Development
About the Program
The Library Development Program was created to expand access to books and educational resources for communities, schools, and learning spaces across Cambodia. The program focuses on supporting community libraries and creating reading environments for Cambodian youth.
How the Program Works
We assess the needs of each library to provide books that are suitable for their communities. Our team and volunteers organize and package books before delivering them to different locations.
Two Support Approaches
- 1On-site Support: Our team visits libraries directly to understand their situation, provide guidance on book management, and organize knowledge-sharing activities with the community.
- 2Remote Support: Books and learning materials are delivered to libraries and learning spaces that need assistance.
Achievements
Over the past three years, One Book One Community (OBOC) has actively contributed to expanding reading resources and developing libraries, including:

School libraries
The program has helped promote reading culture and increase educational opportunities for children and youth.
